As the institutional memory of Holy Cross, the College of the Holy Cross Archives
collects, preserves, arranges and describes records of permanent value from its founding in 1843 to the present. Over 150 years of college history are captured through administrative records, photographs, sound and video recordings, student and college publications, ephemera and realia. The Archives staff hopes to provide a snapshot of Holy Cross’s rich history through this digital collection of Purple Patchers, Holy Cross’s yearbook. Included among these volumes are the first edition of the Purple Patcher (1907); those produced by the classes graduating during the 100th , 125th and 150th anniversaries of the founding of Holy Cross (1943, 1969, 1993); and those produced by classes celebrating their college reunions in 2012. (1962, 1967, 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002, 2007) We plan on digitizing the remaining volumes of the Purple Patcher in the future.
